Your Story Can Help Others
Are you interested in sharing your mental ill-health experience publicly to help others understand the real impact of mental wellbeing? Whether you’re a patient of Orygen, have been treated by Orygen in the past, a carer or a family member of a young person living with mental ill-health, your story matters – and we want to hear it!
We’re also keen to hear from individuals, organisations or groups who have participated in one of our fundraising events and want to share their experience.
Please fill out the form below and help shine the light on youth mental health. Every story shared is a chance to make someone feel less alone.
Why your story matters
When you speak up about your experience, it is an easy and effective way to create change, start conversations and connect with people around you. At Orygen, we use stories to talk about real issues and real lives, helping to shine the light on youth mental health.
Stories from our community are the fuel that powers all our communication efforts. We need your help to raise awareness of key issues for youth living with mental ill-health, make sure the right people know how to access Orygen support services, build support for our fundraising campaigns and reduce the burden of youth mental health in the community.
Where your story will be shared
We need stories for a range of communication efforts including, but not limited to:
- fundraising campaigns
- supporter newsletters
- social media posts
- videos
Each takes a different amount of time but importantly, we always leave the decision to you!
What happens after I fill out the form?
We will respond to submissions if an opportunity arises to share that story. We will never share your personal details or use them for marketing purpouses and will always contact you for permission before using any aspect of your story.
Thank you in advance for your patience and interest in lending your story to our cause!
