Orygen's Sapphire Coast Adventure

Why I'm fundraising for Orygen

Did you know that three in four Aussies will experience a mental health challenge by the time they turn 25?

That’s a pretty big number, but the good news is that Orygen is working hard to support young people all over the country.

That’s why I’m currently training hard for Orygen’s Sapphire Coast Adventure, a 7-day hike along the Sapphire Coast in NSW, all in the name of youth mental health - and I need your help.

You can support me by donating to me here. Any contribution will make a big difference in the lives of young people who are experiencing mental ill-health.

Making the decision

Wednesday 20th Apr
The decision to undertake this venture was hard. It's personal,  very deeply personal. There are so many barriers to access  mental health services.  The system has matured to some degree and is doing what it can to  address socio -economic, cultural and linguistic  barriers. The stigma of mental illness , however,  seems to be universal.  This is probably the biggest barrier for young people accessing services. I'm
hoping to raise some money and awareness for this cohort of young people who've got through a pandemic and should feel free to access  mental health services easily and without any judgement.

Thank you to my Sponsors
